Alta fedeltà – Nick Hornby

Se c’è un romanzo che parla di musica, che prende la musica e la tramuta in letteratura, che senza musica non sarebbe esistito, è questo: Alta fedeltà di Nick Hornby. Un cult senza tempo e senza spazio. Il mondo musicale degli anni ottanta e non solo è protagonista assoluto, viene anche prima di tutti i personaggi, compreso il protagonista, Rob Fleming, appassionato e stralunato proprietario di un negozio di dischi ricercati, che nei vinili cerca sé stesso senza sapere mai dove si trova. Non a caso vengono citati, tra canzoni e cantanti, quasi duecento riferimenti musicali, principalmente al mondo pop, rock, blues.
Una colonna sonora che forse nessun film avrebbe potuto avere, così piena, emozionante, completa. Questo è il potere della musica che entra nella letteratura e della letteratura quando parla di musica.
Un romanzo eccelso.
